" travel is fatal to prejudice, bigotry, narrow-mindedness, all foes to real understanding. Likewise tolerance.. and charitable views of men and things cannot be acquired by vegetating in our little corner of the Earth."
-Mark Twain
Program Details--Admission Process

Step One: Fill out the application. Include resume and photo. Write us if you have any questions.
Step Two: We will contact you. If you fit our first round of qualifications we will coordinate a time for an interview. Our interviews will either be held by phone or face to face in one of our offices.
Step Three: If we accept you we will send you an acceptance letter package detailing the steps to finalize your participation with us. We will need to get you your visa; we may sign a contract with you (some schools only ant you to sign on arrival in China) and we will need to receive your fee.
Step Four: We will send you a “Teacher’s Orientation Kit” that should answer most of your questions about the program and give you supplemental information such as Chinese phrases, a packet of games for the students, sample lesson plans, and more.
Step Five: On the day of departure we will give you instructions on how to follow through with all proper forms and procedures during transit. On arrival in Shanghai (or other locations) staff persons from your school will be waiting for you at the exit gate with a sign for your arrival. You will then be escorted to a hotel or your school for the night. From there the adventure begins.

Note: Participants accepted who are currently living outside of the US will need to acquire visa independently. We will purchase your airplane ticket in coordination with you, but you will need to travel to and from china independently. We will send you an information package and that will have to take the place of an orientation.
